About Us

The mission at School for Excellence is to develop in all students’ intellectual and critical thinking skills in literacy, mathematics, sciences, and history and a strong sense of social responsibility and advocacy. Through our community-responsive curriculum that places at the forefront our students’ individual identities, personalities, and cultures, we provide our students the academic and social-emotional toolkit that they can expand and grow from. We believe our students learn best when they understand themselves in the context of the world around them and when they feel empowered to become leaders and advocates for others.

At SFE, we pride ourselves on supporting our students to be their best selves, to show up and show out each day in their own unique ways. Each SFE S.C.H.O.L.A.R is held to high academic and civic standards but is also nurtured through a caring network of teachers, counselors, administration, and staff to achieve their goals in and beyond the classroom.
